Warm Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses

Look closely.  This is not your ordinary Christmas or Holiday stamp set.  I took a 5 pointed flower to create a poinsettia bouquet at the top of a leafy wreath.  But, I only accented one flower with a pearl and a stampin' dimensional (sometimes less is more).

I used three petals from the flower punch to create the leaves.  And, did you notice a puddle of silver thread behind the leaves.  I like those tiny details that keep the eye traveling around the card, don't you?

To make the wreath, I lightly drew a circle shape using a circular container (from Stampin Up's circular container in which the pearls came).  Then, stamp on and around the circle with leaves from your favorite floral set.  Lastly add holly berries and leaves, colored onto the stamp with the red and green marker.

The velum band in wrapped around the white card and adhered in the back, so the adhesive would not show.  I quite liked making this card from a stamp set that turned out to be more versatile than I thought.

Hope you enjoyed your stop here.  Please come back again - and if you leave a comment, I would enjoy that, too!

Warm Wishes,
Luci

A Whole Lot of Wonderful

Here is a window card inspired by the work of Deb Valder.  The card reveals the vases through a clear sheet, which then opens to the design on the inside of the card.

I liked the idea of making the vases look like they were filled with water.   So I used a pen to draw in the rest of the stems, then filled the vases part-way with Pool Party marker coloring.  (As you can see if you look closely, it occurred to me by the 3rd vase that I should not fill the vase all the way to the top...)

How about that cute bow?  It was made with the envelope punch!  The pearl in the center was colored with a permanent Sharpie marker to match the other polka-dot colors.  I had fun making it - hope you will too!

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Stamping!

Poinsettia Happiness

Can you tell I love shimmer & sparkle?  Here's that beautiful Stampin Up poinsettia image that I embossed twice on vellum and sponged with Pool Party.  The inner petals of the flower can be trimmed and popped onto the larger flower to add more dimension.

But, wait... what could add more sparkle?  The beautiful rhinestone charm for the center of the flower:

Thanks for visiting.

Hope your day has sparkle & shimmer, too.

It's a Flower-Cookie Sandwich

Here was a fun treat that I created with Stampin Up's new flower punch, oval punch and coordinating floral stamp.  The middle of the flower was purposely punched out to reveal the name brand of the cookie "Who Nu?" (found at Target).  I had planned an activity where the participants needed to figure out a secret famous person from a set of clues... and, you guessed it... the clues were found on the backside of the cookies sandwich... Who Nu?

As you can see, each cookie was wrapped in plastic and sandwiched between two Rich Razzleberry stamped flowers.  Easy.
Have a great day!
Luci
