My Digital Studio Playtime

So, I've had my My Digital Studio (MDS) program cautiously installed on my computer and I dared once or twice to dabble in it.  Having had extensive experience using PhotoShop and InDesign, I would have thought that Stampin' Up's program would not have made me so shy to try.

And, there it sat on my hard drive until this week.  Holy Moly!  What a program!  With a call to Stampin' Up, I realized that my program was not behaving properly because it needed to be updated.  After a simple update... all I can say is WOW!

It has some of the fun features that are offered in PhotoShop, but within a simple-to-learn interface, along with many exciting features that you would hope to have in a scrapbooking/card making program.  AND - I don't have to dig out my sewing machine to get stitches on my projects!  LOL

OK - so, I'm still learning how to get around.   In order to fill my blank page, I turned to SCS and was inspired by Splitcoast's Heather T. to create this card with My Digital Studio (challenge here).  And, with a little exploration, I had a card in a short while - no scraps to put away, no stamps to clean and no inky fingers to hide (not that I ever mind stamping a card).  I'm so glad I found another way to get creative.  (I even created my watermark with it... grin!)

Have you tried MDS, yet?  If not, I highly recommend it.  You will be amazed at what you can accomplish.

  1. Alright, Lucian!! You are inspiring me. I do not have any Photoshop experience, but I have participated in some MDS tutorials that do have me excited about the product. I just need to close my eyes, and jump, as you have. Will you hold my hand? Any chance you're ready to come over for that Palmyra visit and spend a few minutes with me to help me get started?

I love your card! I really want to get involved in this program, because I know it's amazing and beautiful!
